Mandala Escape

A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It also means circle in Sanskrit.

Mandalas are used for different purposes, artistically and spiritually.

This project is very therapeutic and will help you to focus.

Your mandala is going to be a meditative tool in which you will draw patterns to express your innermost feelings from the middle of the circle, and move your way outwards towards the perimeter of the circle.

The grid on the paper that you will be drawing on will help you with the spacing in the patterns.
Draw your own pattern with the permanent marker in your kit.

Your pattern can include different geometric and organic shapes and forms.

Make sure that whatever you draw needs to be mirrored and replicated throughout the circle grid.

Use your permanent marker to also color in a few areas of your pattern.

Finally, you can use a combination of the other coloured markers to complete your mandala.

  • Mandala guide template
  • Permanent black marker
  • Three colored marker pens
